Student Stories: Ged

Ged

Ged joined a Building Employment Training (BET) programme for 25 weeks and got a job following work placement with a building contractor working on a major local housing project.

Ged was given help with maths and his skills greatly improved while he was on the programme. He had never used a computer before and hated PCs but he learned to word process and use the internet to complete his assignments.

Ged was supported during his work placement by the Jobshop. His skills and his confidence improved so much that his employer had some very positive comments to make about his work and he was offered a full-time job.

Ged feels that he has turned his life around. He is happy and the future looks good. Ged worked hard on his training with ERP and feels that all his efforts have paid off.

Ged studied at ERP.
