At primary school I discovered I had learning difficulties. They found that I was dyslexic and so I was sent to special school. I loved it there – the teaching was on a one-to-one basis.

I started to get involved with adult learning at work after becoming a Health and Safety representative. I decided I needed to brush-up on some skills.

I decided to go on a basic IT course run by Salford Joint Trade Unions – it opened up a whole new world!

I’ve now got the learning bug and want to carry on improving my knowledge and skills.
